He is 73 years old

Has been suffering from severe  back pain. Got diagnosed with advanced bone metastases prostate cancer a week ago. One onco has suggested hormonal therapy. We will be consulting another onco and start treatment next week. 

He is unable to sleep coz of the pain. Does the pain get any better? In such a case is just hormonal therapy recommended or in combination with radiation? How long does it take for atleadt the pain to subside? 

Can't see him like this. He was cooking n gardening a few months ago.
