Recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer - Surgery soon

Hi,
I just thought id post on here to see if anyone has had similar experiences or has advice or answers for me.

I am 26 and have just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, I have surgery in 2 weeks to removed y entire thyroid and all the lymph nodes on the left hand side.

I wondered if anyone has had thus surgery and can tell me what it is like afterwards? Also the recovery time?

Also what it is like being on the thyroid hormones.

Its also just nice to talk to people in the same or similar situations to understand how other people feel about having cancer, and are coming with it!
