Breast Cancer

Hi All,

I'm not 100% sure why I'm posting here, but I figured it would be better than spending my time on Dr Google.

I found a lump and slight dent in my right breast two weeks ago, rang the dr straightaway, was seen in the surgery that same day and was given an urgent referral. I had my appt yesterday and after ultrasounds, 3 mammograms and 2 biopsies taken, I have been told at the age of 36 I have breast cancer. Unless a miracle comes back in the biopsy, which I very much doubt!

I'm feeling pretty positive, I get the results of the biopsy on 2nd feb, and have been told I can take someone with me which is good. And there's no point worrying about treatment until I know what the treatment will be I suppose. I guess what's really hit me is that my mum died from breast cancer 10 years ago, my sister tested positive for the BRCA gene, and I tested negative. Yet here we are. I guess I'm just curious to know if anyone else has been in this position?

lots of love
