Endometrial cancer 85 year oldAnd accept his prognosis of ma

Endometrial cancer 85 year old and at stage 3+  Surgery not available because it has spread to my bladder and pelvic region.
consultant gives the impression that chemotherapy would be too hard on my body but I don't want to just give up And accept his prognosis of maybe six months

  • Sorry to hear of your situation.  My mum is 87 and she has stage 3 bowel cancer.  She had radiotherapy but was unable to have chemo or surgery because of heart problems.  She is very very depressed.  I feel really bad that she has to go through this because she is a lovely lady and spent her life working as a nurse helping others.

Would radiotherapy be possible for you?  I am not an expert so cannot advise more but I do feel for you and hope that you get the advise and help you need.

  • Hi deep see my cancer started in my room but has exited into the bladder and pelvic area is... my problem is my kidneys that are working on 25%.. because of this the consultant seems reluctant to go ahead with chemotherapy but I want chemotherapy it may slow it down and prolong my prognosis or my kidneys daily and may kill me... what a choice but I want them to try everything to stop it reaching my stomach and I am hoping to start chemotherapy on a small dose in one week then every week for three weeks... I think that my consultant is against me having chemotherapy because of my kidneys but I want to prolong my life and if it doesn't work then I will accept the radiotherapy and they promise to help me

  • You are really brave and I hope the chemo helps you x
