Bile duct cancer

Hello everyone I just got the news that I have bile duct cancer, I'm 27 with 3 children, and an amazing hubby who has been hit hard by the news!

I am absolutely terrified, I've been told that it's inoperable and that it's hopeful it might be able to be controlled with chemotherapy... But what am I supposed to tell my babies?

I don't really know what else to expect as haven't had my appointment with my cancer specialist yet hopefully within the next two weeks I'll receive an appointment.

Any advice would be really helpful please, kind regards T x

  • Welcome to our forum, TiffanyD although I'm sorry to hear about the reason that brings you here.

Such a difficult situation you find yourself in, but I'm glad to hear that they might be able to control the cancer with chemotherapy and that you have a supporting husband to help you in the process.

As for telling your children, you didn't mention what age they are, but I guess that keeping the message simple might be one way to go. Hopefully, others who have experienced with this type of situation will come along shortly with better advice, as talking with those who can relate does seem to help. Until then feel free to come here and write as much as you need and please remember we're here for you.

    Best wishes,
