My Melanoma diagnosis

Hi I've just had my first biopsy and was told that it's likely I have melanoma. I went to my appointment with the dermatologist to have a second biopsy but as they have only had a letter from my gp and not any biopsy results sent over they could not do a second biopsy at the time. But they have checked my other moles and lymph nodes and said that there are no abnormalities in these is this a good sign. I'm scared that it has spread to my lymph nodes? Surely if they fought this was the case Imthey would had found swollen nodes?

  • Hello Georgie121,

A warm welcome to our forum. I am sorry to hear that they were unable to do a second biopsy but it is reassuring that they have carefully looked at your other moles and lymph nodes and that they haven't found any abnormalities. It might be worth though bringing up with your medical team the fact that you are worried that it has spread to your lymph nodes. They will be able to reassure you I am sure and answer any specific questions you may have on this.

    Best wishes,
