Sounds exactly like me, I am 33 with a 2 year old. I stopped breastfeeding in may and my left breast kept getting infected afterwards, I was under the breast care team trying to clear the infections when something changed. They did a biopsy and found I had developed breast cancer. They can't tell how many lumps I have/had because I had so much infection in surrounding tissue. They could tell it was stage 1 (can't tell if it has spread until they can get swelling down) but grade 3 because of how quickly it grew.

They started me on chemotherapy last month, I did my second round the week before last. I am on the FEC-T 6 rounds of chemotherapy (although they are doing it the other way round so the T first because of the aggressiveness of the cancer) I have elected for double mastectomy to ensure I can't get it in the other side, followed by radiotherapy.

Just want to say have hope, you will feel rubbish after chemo but keep as positive as possible, I find it really helps.

I know the feeling, I thought I was getting on until this, it's such a shock to the system. Especially when you have little people who depend on you.

Since starting chemo the infections have started to clear meaning can now feel lump(s), it's massive under the surface so not sure if it's one massive one or if it's lots all connected, it's all along the bottom right up to my nipple, (large area as I have large breasts) it's very scary. The doctor told me they will be doing another ultra sound in the new year now they can feel the tissue in a hopes to find out exactly what we are working with. 

Well the chemo itself is easy enough but the after affects are what I have been struggling with, I think I struggle so much as I have a very hyper 2 year old who just wants mummy all the time ‍♀️ but its doing its job, the pain I had before has pretty much all gone, a lot of the swelling has gone now too. 

Have they given you a start date for chemo? I hope it's quick and soon as you feel like you are stuck in limbo whilst you wait for it to start.

Hi. My diagnosis is similar to you. I have a few tumours in my left breast and they are er positive and also her2 positive. I'm a stage 3 but I think the grade was 2. I've just completed 6 rounds of chemo and will be having a mastectomy on my left breast and lumpectomy on my right. You will be ok, chemo goes really quick. I'm terrified about my surgery (4th January) but at the same time I can't wait to have the tumours removed. I feel sick when I think about what's in my breast. But there is light at the end of the tunnel and you will beat this! Good luck with your journey
