Please could someone help me my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that's spread to his liver they have given him 12-18 months to live if treatment is successful but does anyone know if it's possible he could live longer?
I'm sorry to hear about your Dad's diagnosis. I'm sure it been a difficult time for you all.
It's impossible for anyone to say with absolute certainty how long someone's prognosis maybe but sometimes the Consultant may offer an answer based on their clinical experience and the information they have about that particular patient. We know from the posts that we see here on the forum that sometimes people live for longer than might have been expected and sometimes the disease progresses more rapidly.
