I have been given the news this week that I have cancer in my right kidney. (At age 43.) This has come about as a result of being investigated for (& diagnosed with) a rare liver condition. My world has been completely turned upside down the last few months and this diagnosis has absolutely knocked me for six. My gastroenterologist had to give me the news and that the treatment is to remove the kidney. I'm not due to see the consultant oncologist/urologist for another week. What I'm wondering is - can they tell for certain it's cancer without a biopsy?
