I have had a recent diagnosis of womb cancer and am feeling really worried that it has spread. Feeling very uncomfortable and worried. MRI and CT scans ordered. Finding it so hard to relax and sleep.

Hi ShanLan, read your post and wanted you to know that there is always someone here for you on the forum. It is almost a year to the day when I found out I had womb cancer. Like you, I had MRI and CT scans, then my appointment with surgeon to discuss treatment plan. The waiting is the hardest. Best to keep yourself busy. I decorated 3 rooms during all the waiting!!! And it's completely normal to worry if it has spread. We think about worst case scenario then if it's not that bad it's a feeling if relief. Once you have your appointment to discuss your treatment plan, you will feel better. The waiting is the hardest so keep yourself occupied and try to eat well, need to keep your strength up. Please feel free to message me if you have questions.
Thank you so much for your positive reply it really helps. I am impressed that you decorated three rooms! I am keeping busy, eating well and exercising every day but finding it hard to sleep. I have found it difficult to find positive stories about people who have had womb cancer so it is good to hear from you. I had actually just been reading about a Tracey Emin who had quite radical surgery this year and found her attitude very positive and encouraging. I really want to approach treatment with positivity and not see myself as a victim. Thank you again.
I got a diagnosis today not of womb but ovarian and I have to say the waiting is the worst. I think having diagnosis now is so much better. Once you've got a plan and next steps it's much easier to focus your thoughts and next steps. Best wishes x
