I am so sorry to read about your diagnosis. I can't even begin to imagine what an awful shock that must have been for you and your husband. Take some time to let the diagnosis sink in, you will be feeling sick and numb with shock. Talk to your husband about your feelings, and eventually if you want to you can tell your family together. You say you have two children? Allow them to be your strength. Good luck with your next appointment. I have just had a very close family member diagnosed with cancer, and we are also awaiting for the next appointment. The days are going over in such a haze.
