Long story short 

neck excisional biopsy and pet scan ( subclaviculr lymph nodes pet scan showed not much elseJ

On Monday I was told that the haematology pathology showed Sternberg reed cells indicating lymphoma, hodgkins. They were waiting for markers from pathology on the other half 

today I had to go back and was told 

squamous cell carcinoma metastasis

All I have is a series of letters and numbers   CK7+,  p40 +, ck20 -, p16. +, TTFI (-) EBER(-)

they say I have a tumor in my neck and in the thoracic area, but not the lungs.  Possible primary source elsewhere. 
 

in two days the diagnosis has gone from hodgkins to god knows what.... I have been referred to gyny next week and they will have a cancer meeting on Wednesday and phone me with a plan... is this normal. I'm so scared
