Stage 4 Bone Mets with bone marrow infiltration

Hello

I would be really keen to speak to someone who has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to the bone and also the bone marrow.

Anyone else with the same diagnosis?

  • As I noticed that your post hasn't received a reply yet I wanted to stop by to say and welcome to our forum, JEN1417.

Hopefully, some of our members will soon come along to chat with you but until then I thought you may find this page from our website about breat cancer stages, types and grades useful.

    With best wishes,

  • Hello Jen

I have just found your post (I'm a member of the Breastcancernow forum) and I'm sorry you've had to wait so long for a response but there aren't very many of us around.

I was diagnosed in September 2019 straight to stage 4 with mets in my bones, bone marrow and lymph nodes. In October 2020 a scan revealed new metastasis in my peritoneum which had spread further by the end of January resulting in a change of medication.

At the beginning I was put on letrozole and abemaciclib, but I didn't tolerate the abemaciclib and it was stopped after one cycle. I continued on letrozole alone until it stopped working for me. I take exemestane now and I'm due a scan in June to see if it's working.

If I can be of help because I'm a few more steps down the road, let me know.

    best wishes
