Diagnosed with Bowenoid actinic keratosis

I googled it, as you do, it didn't bring up too many red flags.

However, that is not my issue. Family are not engaging or talking or asking how I am. That isn't new, being an ex child in care, no surprise. I just feel sad I haven't got family that understands I might feel anxious, tremendous anxiety actually.

This ruddy growth has bee n growing for over 10 years, fobbed off by gp and nurse in heath centre.

So, no surprise the hospital , after making mistakes, are not engaging either. Can't actually start treatment as still have stitches from biopsy . not until Monday.

Life eh??

  • Hi sunscared

Its is really cold now isn't it. I always feel for all animals and birds that live outdoors.

Sorry to hear you might have cronic anemia. That's a *** to have.

I haven't touched red meat in years, personal choice re high inherited cholesterol, runs in family. I do like those new gingster vegan pasties, taste very similar to the meat one.

So if eating red meat and taking iron tablets aren't working, do you usually have a drip infusion thing? B12. Plus are you negative blood group, that doesn't help either.

I expect cancer takes any good out of your body anyway so if that's your case can't your GP prescribe something.

Not liking that cancer patients are more or less left to fight their illness at home with no intervention .

This is a trying time for everyone, lockdown for anorher month. I'd push for your FIT test, why should you feel any worse than you do now. Don't give up. Plus you have a doggie at home? I'm glad of my cats.

Hope you get answers, as long as we ask, they have to answer something.

    Stay warm

    Love

    X

  • Hi Angela,

Hope you're keeping your cats cosy and they've not been affected by all the fireworks.

Couple of things have blown up this end so I might not be on for a few days.

We're not allowed furry friends where I live. Yes, lockdown is going to be hard.

Though I've plenty of visits to GP and hospital to keep me entertained (and scared given the COVID risk).

    Take care. Love X

  • Hi sunscared

    Sorry my mistake, re pets.

I hope you're OK plus who you are caring for too.

  • Hi - only have intermittent computer access (dead computer so having to borrow one - going to try and wait until the New Year for a new purchase given costs often higher in the run-up to Christmas). Hope all well with you. How much longer do you have to apply cream for? Hope it is working out okay for you. Love X

  • Hello sunscared

    Wait for the sales?

Will be applying the cream for another 4 weeks.

    I hope you're OK..

    Love

    X

  • Yes, either for the sales or for prices to go down a bit. Hope you and your cats are keeping well. Sorry that this is a very rushed hello. Hope all is going okay with the cream.

    Take care. Love X

  • Hi there

Strange you should message as I've been quite worried about a new lump on the area where the cream goes.

I will ring one of the nurses tomorrow.

Cats are OK,  Ellie has been very clingy and Saskia sometimes sits and stares at me ,her face is literally inches from mine when she does that. Funny cats.

How is your treatment going, are you coping OK?

    Hope things aren't too horrible

    Bye now

    x

  • Hi Angela,

Cats do have very distinct personalities! Sounds like they really care about you.

Yes do get that lump investigated – sooner rather than later if it's where the cream is going.

I'm waiting on a lot of results. Feeling really tired. Lot of other things going on too. Lungs are functioning a lot better with a different med combination. So that's good news.

Hope the nurses are able to help with regards the lump. Take care. Love X

  • Hey how are you doing?

    How is life treating you?

The weather has improved so my bones will not be rattling around so much.

    I hope you are OK

    Take care
