Hi. I too have just had my 1st session. I asked the same question to the nurse who told me it will start falling out next week and by the week of my second treatment it will have all fallrn out. I have my prescription for a wig also. In fact I've booked in to try some next week. Wigs these days are realistic and not the same as they were years ago. Give it a try u will also get turbins from the hospital,I did. So you could user it for special occasions.
I'm waiting for my 1st chemo session. In all honesty I'm quite looking forward to having the hair I've always wanted. If that's what it takes to keep me alive it's a price I'm willing to pay.
Wigs, hats, turbans we get to recreate ourselves.
It will grow back so please don't worry about hairless. Everyone who's important in your life won't worry about your hair so embrace the inevitable.
i don't fancy a wig I'm happy to wear head scarfs, can you get these from the hosp also you say? So today is a week so maybe next week it will start coming out. It sounds silly but I'm waiting for it to happen. I've gone down to a number 1 skin head so I'm prepared. Hope your ok
I don't know if you can get headscarves from the hospital. I would think that they all operate differently anyway so if you want to get some I've seen some gorgeous ones on Amazon although other retailers are available lol. They're quite inexpensive so you could really build up a collection. Not everyone loses their hair but it is something we all except.
As I said previously I'm not starting chemo for another 2weeks but I want a collection of wigs. I too will have my head shaved if it starts falling out and fully intend to rock that look too.
