    Hi Din,

Welcome to our forum, although I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Moonpuddle is right, chemo is normally used first to shrink the size of a tumour prior to surgery. Some hospitals are doing this at the moment due to Covid 19. They are keen to keep as many people as possible out of hospital, even if only for a little while. By giving chemo first, the cancer is still being treated, rather than being delayed due to the current pandemic. This procedure varies from one part of the country to another, so discuss the best way forward for you with your consultant.

Do please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. we are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
