Hi, my dad got told today that he has terminal cancer and has been given 3-6 months. This is a massive shock to us all as he has been having back pain but that was normal due to him having sciatica and then given a pap scan which showed cancer in the spin, pelvis and liver, when this diagnosis was given last week they did not know the primary. Today even without any extra tests they have confirmed the primary is Lung cancer and that there is nothing they can do other then pain control.

i am struggling with this a lot. My grief and pain is towards other issues.....basically in 2017 the drs found a lesion on my dads left lung but didn't test further and assumed it was COPD changes....they are now saying that this was the potential primary cancer and has been spreading for the last three years. If they had checked further in 2017 then he might have been saved. Also he was in hospital in January with sever pneumonia and again this wasn't picked up on.
