Does this sound right to you? Diagnosis

I had some falls, was being treated for an ear infection. Latest fall, they took me to a and e, gave me a CT Scan which showed a brain tumour and lung. I'm now being told I have cancer and it's secondary.

is it possible to get this diagnosis from just a CT scan as I have had no other tests or biopsies etc.

I think I'm probably in denial, but it seems to straight forward to be told that from one CT scan.

  • Hi Zebra

What a horrible time for you and distressing. I was going through treatment last year for breast cancer was in hospital following chemo and developed sepsis while in hospital found a painful lump in my groin had a CT that day in the same afternoon Dr came in and told me it was swollen lymph node but and theres always a but they found a tumor in my left kidney nothing to do with the breast cancer and it was cancer had no pain no symptoms was in total disbelief and shock so my treatment plan deal and finish treatment for breast cancer then deal with kidney. I had the left kidney removed june of this yr. So my answer is yes they can diagnose with CT. My advise ask lots of questions i write them down and write the answers down. Biopsy were done in my case later on but now i am here still somtimes i carnt believe i had 2 diffent cancers at the same time, but you have to put the why me, not fair etc and fight with every breath you take to keep your physical and mental health in check. What is the next appointment etc any dates?
