Stage 4 Lymphoma diagnosis

Hi hope you are all ok.

this kind of thing is new for me but I feel I have no1 else to really talk about it with.

I found out in August that my dad has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. He is currently on 6 sessions of chemo ( 1 every 3 weeks) then will have a meeting to see how the treatment has worked ect.

I'm finding it quite hard to process it all and don't really understand the stages of cancer ect.

is there anyone on here that can give me abit more understanding.
can you go into remission with stage 4 lymphoma?

whats the prognosis if not?

has anyone on here come out on the other side after treatment?

i have asked these questions to my father but to me something doesn't add up and I feel he's trying to protect me from knowing the truth even tho I'm 32

  • Hi so sorry to hear about your dads diagnosis.

I was diagnosed with hodgkin lymphoma in january, stage 2. I can't comment on non hodgkin's however for hodgkins staging isn't much of an issue and the same treatment will be used. The cure rates will still be high for him that will still be his consultants aim

If ur on Facebook their is a UK lymphoma page which has many people who have been cured after having stage 4 hodgkins xx
