Triple negative breast cancer

I have just been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, tumour of 27mm and a lymph node biopsy back positive too. I was prepared for the cancer diagnosis, but the triple negative and node was what I feared the worst. I am 38, I have a one year old, I feel like I've been given a death sentence. Is there any hope? I want to see my baby grow up...

  • Hello Helpplease and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear that you've just been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). I know this will be a really scary time for you and lots of our members will understand those feelings.
We have a really active thread full of ladies who have had a TNBC diagnosis and I'm sure that if you post on this thread to introduce yourself they will share their experiences with you.

Being diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age can be difficult to connect with others who may understand some of your particular challenges. If you have a look for the Younger Breast Cancer Network you'll be able to connect with women under the age of 45 in their private Facebook group.
I'd also suggest you give our team of nurses a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday to friday 9am to 5pm and I'm sure that they will be able to give you some support and information.

I hope some of this helps. Keep in touch and let us know how you're getting on.

    Best wishes,
