Hello,
My husband has been recently diagnosed with stomach cancer at the beginning of July, today we were informed that he has two hard lumps in his liver that are also cancerous. However it's not penetrated the lining of his stomach it's metastasised? I think that means it's popped up elsewhere but not spread from his stomach. His lymph nodes are clear at the moment, he is 53, extremely fit for his age. They were attempting to go down the line of surgery and either partially or completely removing his stomach as his tumour lies in the curve, after a course of chemotherapy. That's now been put completely on the back burner and they're just going with chemotherapy. At the moment neither cancer has been graded.
I hate to say it but with them giving up on surgery at present it just feels like there has to be more to help him? Has anyone had this type of procedure before? have you been lined up for surgery and then it's not gone through? Is him having clear lymph nodes a really good sign of what's to come?
Thanks for reading and any replies.
