Stage 1 TNBC

Hi ladies,

I'm new here and already feeling the love and support.I had breast reduction surgery on 19th June which went very well . 10 days later got call to say tumor found and was stage1 grade 3 TNBC. I'm 53 and no BC in family. It's not very common at my age to be diagnosed with TNBC as mostly affects younger women. Had mammogram and Lymph node biopsy which were both clear TG. Meeting oncologist Thursday to discuss treatment plan. I like so many referred to Google when I got the diagnosis. Everything I read absolutely terrified me and I was almost planning my funeral I decided not to Google anymore as not much good news on this particular cancer. Having read all your posts it has given me so much hope . I have changed my diet somewhat as I read that a plant based diet responds to this particular cancer. Each and every one of you are amazing, brave strong and courageous you give so much love and support. Sending positive vibes to you all . Sue

    Hi Suzanne,

Welcome to our forum, although I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. We have all discovered ovr the years that consulting Dr Google is never a good idea. Much of the information there is out of date, poorly researched and aimed at the spectacular.

With changing your diet, it sounds as if you are already acting positively, which is good news. This is the one attribute that you'll need to get through your treatment.

I hope that you are happy with your treatment options when you see your oncologist on Thursday. Please keep in touch and let us know how it goes.

We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
