Hi everyone,
I recently found a lump in my left breast and went to the GP and was reffered to the hospital for another test. I has mammogram and biopsy and was told that the chances of the lump being cancerous was high.
I had to wait for 1 week for the results which were positive (I knew already) and that an MRI scan would be necessary to make sure that it had not spread elsewhere.
I am still waiting for my appointment but hopefully ot will come back with just the one lump.
I was told by the consultant that the lump will be removed conserving as much of the breast as possible and that the other breast would be reconstructed to match.
After the lumpectomy I was told I would have radiotherapy and if no other tumours were found I would not need chemo.
I was thinking that even if there were more tumours I might opt out of chemo as it sound awful.
