Thank you Liz, it does help to know you are not alone- i think one day at a time and a healthy dose of hope and prayer. I think in the last month I have gone through every possible emotion and it's all a bit of a roller coaster. Will be keeping everything crossed for you too xxx

Hi Liz, 

I just wanted to let you know that miraculously my CT and Bone Scan have come back clear! Because 60% of the lymph nodes were cancerous my treatment will be aggressive- 6 months chemo, 1 month radiotherapy and biological drugs (I forget where these fit in to the plan, just know they are) & 10 years target drug treatment. 
 

The one thing that I have learnt  since being diagnosed 6 weeks ago is although this is a rollercoaster of a ride, don't ever give up hope, modern medicine is amazing, there are new treatments being discovered all the time, every doctor, nurse & consultant I have had contact with has been kind, caring and compassionate. For me personally faith, hope and support from friends and family has been what has and will continue to help me get through this.

Doctors are thinking that allot of my nodes are affected and my bone scan showed an isolated lesion on my sternum. CT was clear. They're still classing me a locally advanced breast cancer. Just wondered how you were getting on?

Hi Sara,

I am doing ok, just about finished with my treatment, another week of Radiotherapy and

i get some R&R, which I am looking forward too,

I got through the last 9 months by taking each day at a time, trusting my oncologist and the nurses around me, pace yourself, practice self care and it's ok to feel apprehensive, but don't let it get the better, they can do amazing things.
