Hi,

My uncle is having surgery today for biopsy & debulking. We know the tumour is on the left side & is fairly close to the motor cortex & language Centre.

He was taken from the ward at around 12.30 this afternoon. His nurse told us it would be an hour to put him to sleep, 1 - 2 hours in surgery & 1 - 2 hours in recovery.  We were told to phone the ward at 7pm for an update on his condition. My mum called & was told he was still in surgery! 

I know he may have been delayed going in etc but my mum is now worried sick something's gone wrong.

I'm trying to stay positive but this is our first experience of brain surgery so don't know if this is normal.

Any advise greatly appreciated x
