Welcome to the forum although I'm very sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis and that you need to have further surgery as a result of this. 

I think that most all of our members here will understand the worries that come with being given a cacner diagnosis of any stage. The fear of "what if" is something that all cancer patients will deal with at some point and it's natural to be worried about possible unknowns. 

Do you have a date for surgery or know how long you may have to wait? Hopefully it won't be too long. 

You may find it helpful to speak to one of our nurses in the meantime. I'm sure that they will be able to offer some advice and information about some of the questions that you may have. If you'd like to chat with them they are  available on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

im just wondering how you have got on with your treatment? I am sorry to hear your polyp came back with bad news. 
I had a polyp removed last week, but I was told that they are usually benign by my doctor , but I'm still feeling very nervous whilst waiting on my results x

I am in same boat.i am 41 and dont have any health issues before.but after 2 months of noticing blood in stool i got colonscopy done this tuesday.they removed 40mm polyp and sent for biopsy.and report says i have been referred fo ctscan of chest abdomen and pelvic.

Is it normal to refer for this scan without getting biopsy result.

i have got some pain in lower back and cramps after eating food around by back area.but no pain in stomach ever.

Had blood test in may.all was normal but low b12.

I am very worried and getting sleepless nights

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Waiting for results is the absolute worst isn't it :(.

have they said how Long you'll be waiting? Mine came back in 2 weeks so not too bad but was the longest two weeks off my life.

if you're having symptoms they want to investigate then it maybe why the want to do scans. I was having bloating and pain and they sent me for an ultrasound scan which was all ok, to investigate.

i really hope you get some results soon, as I think not knowing makes it so much worse x

I have got c t scan done 2 weeks back and got letter yesterday  to see consultant  on Monday.its exactly after 4 weeks of colonoscopy and polyp removal.i  m bit worried  now as got this quick appointment.

Got the results  last Monday.its cancer.

Now waiting  for surgery to remove part of colon.

And I was told that they can only check the spread  to lymph  nodes after surgery. 

Hoping for the best.....

So they can't confirm any grading until after the surgery? So you have a date for this? I am heartbroken for you.

They said its t2 n0 m0

But its by way of scan only.lymph nodes they can only check after surgery.
