Stage 4- Diffused Gastric Cancer & Peritoneal cancer

Hello everyone,

I am hoping to gain some advice. My relative has been diagnosed with stage 4 primary stomach cancer that has spread to various abdominal areas via the peritoneal lining. The consultant referred to it as Diffused Gastric Cancer and said it was very aggressive.

We are still awaiting their POA from the MDT but I believe it will be palliative care?

Has anyone or is anyone going through this?

We are lost and overwhelmed :(

    I'm very sorry to read about your relative and I hope you're getting on OK, although I can imagine this must be incredibly difficult.

    Unfortunately no-one will be able to advise on the likely treatment route, it's only the doctor or specialist who can do this.

    I can see you've posted elsewhere on the forum and received replies - as you have also posted in our Ask the nurses section you should receive a reply from a nurse soon.
