Hi, unfortunately we are new to this. Today my partner, aged 45, was disagnose with an intraductal invasive carcinoma approx. 1 inch. Just wondering how long others had to wait (NHS) before their lumpoptomy operation?
Thanks.

Hi
Not the same diagnosis but from my initial colon/bowel cancer diagnosis by colonoscopy, 6th Jan, I had five various scans over the next few weeks to diagnose the extent of the cancer, had my consultant appointment on the 12th Feb, Pre Op and Anethatist consultations 19th Feb, my operation was 26th Feb - this was cancelled on the day due to an overunning operation (no fault of the system) and was actually carried out on the 9th Mar.
I hope this gives you an idea of the time, from what you say there may be no additional scans for your partner.
Wishing you both a positve outcome.
Pete
Thanks, we will contact the nurse today. She said 6-8 weeks for the op but we are hoping it will be sooner - fingers crossed.
Tim.
