I am so sorry to hear about your dad's diagnosis. It must have come as a shock to you. It's great though that he seems to have such a lovely consultant so I would discuss with the consultant what the best options for your dad would be. Don't hesitate to ask questions too and it's important if you are considering giving your dad any time of supplement to  discuss this with his consultant as they will be able to tell you if something is not recommended or if it interferes with his treatment.
