Advice please ....l

I am actually posting on behalf of my mum. Last September she had a hysterectomy following a shock diagnosis of endometrial (womb) cancer. Op was a success and no further treatment needed. Fast forward to this year two check ups all seems good and then some unexpected bleeding, not a lot just some so immediately back to docs and then phoned surgeon. What happened next was an appointment and biopsies. Yesterday we received a phone call and and they have found some abnormal cells which upon we asked last of questions but still feeling in shock by this. They hope it's still early grade 1 but a CT scan will confirm this hopefully and then radiotherapy.
Our  question is has anyone else had any experience of this and if so any advice or words of hope please?

  • Hello Lomolo,

I am so sorry to hear about your mum. I am keeping everything crossed for you that the CT scan confirms that it is still early grade 1. You did the right thing though to get this bleeding checked and it's great that they carried out all these tests as soon as it happened.

I hope that you will hear from others here who have had experience of this and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you.

Our nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 if once you receive the results of the CT scan there is anything you would like to talk to them about. Their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope everything goes well for your mum and that you get the CT scan results very soon.

    Best wishes,
