  • Hi

I'm currently at day 7  of 28 days chemo and radiotherapy for vulva cancer which had spread to pelvic lymph nodes already operated on ! I have been told that the radiation  can cause exactly  the symptoms  you are experiencing have they told you to moisturizing  everything !!!! as much as possible ? I have been told to ! And drink as much fluid as you can as it flushes and protects organs and skin

I know this is probably  not very helpful  but I sympathise

  • Hi,

I’m just going into week 2 of Chemoradiotherapy and must admit I’m dreading the next few weeks. So far I haven’t had any soreness, so am not speaking from experience, but I’ve seen quite a few positive posts on other forums saying that  taking a pee under water really helps. You can use a sitz bath or portable bidet spray to do this (both can be bought through Amazon if you are self isolating). I hear the sitz baths are also good to use as an Epsom salt bath (just for relief of soreness). May be worth a try?

Hooe your treatment goes well and you are through the worst and just on to healing
