41 yr old 13mm cancerous tumour - biopsy results tomorrow

About 7 weeks ago I found a small lump/thickening under my left breast, on the bra line. Didn't think much of it as I just had a Mirena coil fitted and thought it could be hormone-related.

Two weeks later, it was still there. I asked my partner to feel it and she agreed I should get it checked.

GP appointment got messed up so I was seen on April 2nd. She said she wasn't worried as it felt more like a cyst, the edges were smooth and she explained all lumps have to be referred.

Wed 15th I went in. Had an examination then mammogram and scan and biopsy.

The consultant told me she was worried and it looks like cancer, 13mm in size which she says is small and positive that it for caught early. She said this isn't something that will kill me but the next few months won't be fun.

then I saw the nurse and she talked about a lumpectomy and hormone therapy but we won't really know until the biopsy comes back.

my appointment was changed from telephone to face to face tomorrow which seems to be a trend at the minute, and I'll update you tomorrow with grade/treatment and surgery options.
