My mother was diagnosed with Cancer

Hello,

my mother was diagnosed with cancer recently. I have a son,

only just over a year old. They've said my mothers cancer isn't curable. They can't seem to find a primary and I'm just so scared that she won't see my little boy grow up. I'm scared of losing my mom. I have nobody to talk to about it. My family are very upset and im trying to be strong for them.

I don't know what I expect from this, I guess just need a little rand on a forum and see if anybody has experienced the same or similar? How did anyone else cope with having little ones in the mix

  • I just wanted to post to say I am so sorry about your bad news.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

If you want to private message me I willl be a listening ear.

I don't know if you are aware, to private message, we have to be friends so I will send you a request.

You can feel free to accept it or not, I just want you to feel you have someone to talk to.

Sadly I can't comment on little ones, and  hope someone else can come along, or maybe if you do some searches on google to see how people with little ones cope with breaking cancer related news.

Friend request sent, sorry i cant help re little ones but I can listen to you and talk.

  • Hi Emy,

I wanted  to your comment as last week my mum was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, incurable but treatable. I'm nearly 7 months pregnant with my first child so I can understand your thoughts regarding your little boy. My mum is my best friends and we are so close, this time is very hard as we can't even see each other due to the Coronavirus. I've got to think positive as although it is not cureable it is treatable and people can live for years with cancer and thank goodness there are lots of treatments! My mums just started a hormone therapy drug which the oncologist seems positive about. Please send me a friend request if you like :) xx
