Hi, I'm 33, have no children and planning to get married next year.
After having clear smears and colposcopy, a tumour was found by my gynaecologist after doing an internal scan. This came back in Feb 2020 as cancer. Apparently very unusual for it to be missed. But we are where we are.
I'm currently just finishing wk 2 of 6 for treatment of cervical cancer stage 1b2. I'm having 5 rounds of chemo, each Monday wk 1-5, radiotherapy 5 days a wk for 6 wks with the exception of 2 days in wk 5& 6 for brachytherapy which will replace external radiotherapy.
I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any good news stories from anyone who has been through something similar.
I've read a lot about where the treatment wasn't successful and was hoping for some positive stories.
I'm very scared that even if this does 'cure' me, that it will come back. Has anyone had the same treatment and remained cancer free?
