Stage 3 cancer

Hello, I have  been diagnosed with Cancer, start my chemo hopefully on the 8th April. Even though I was diagnosed January, due to testing, and the hospital telling me they didn't have the resources.

i feel like I've been pulled pillar to post, and a lot of time has been waisted. Is this normal to wait this long for chemo Flot?

i have to have 4 sessions of Flot to begin, surgery and then a further 4Flot sessions. So I feel nervous... I have been taking CBD Oil with thc, I feel like I have been able to sleep better with the CBD....and I will continue to use through the chemotherapy.

im also worried about the 31percent recovery rate after 5years can any one help me to understand why this is so low even if you have stomach removed and surgery?

Thank you!

  • Hi

Hubby had to wait 20 days from seeing Oncologist to chemo (not Flot, but ABCP for stage 4 lung cancer)

It was the first date the nurses could get him in, although I think they also had to get the funding agreed

Guess it comes down to space in the chemo suite, not sure so sorry to be of no use really

As for the stats, try not to think about those too much. We're looking at 50% to get to 12 months, and if we dwelled on it too much I'm sure it would affect the whole process as stress does strange things. I like to be a glass half full person... So please think about the now and getting thru the chemo and surgery.

The more positive you are the more positive the outcome I'm sure
