Stage 4 terminal Cancer - no cure or help

Hi

my uncle out of the blue just got diagnpised  with stage 4 cancer - they said no treatment and he'll get a mc mallan nurse . He was told this over the phone a couple weeks ago just as covid started , does this sound right , he's just confused that they won't do anything and over the phone to say that ,

any advice is great , thanks

  • Hi there ..

Deff seems unusual ... I'd have thought even with carona virus ,they wouldn't do that on the phone ..  but so many things have changed ... but I'd deff ring his oncology team, with any questions ... as he must have lots he wants to ask .. then ring McMillan and tell them, they may be able to find out more ..

Let us know how he goes .. Chrissie...

  • Thank you so much just seems crazy that's it but let's see what they say , thank you for your time and advise

  • Hi Chris's,

just to say so sorry for you about your uncles results,I had an appointment today to go back and get my breast results, but last early evening the surgeon rang me, he exsplanned that because of the virus they were making phone calls so people didn't have to go to the hospital in case of infection, so I wouldn't worry as the doctors are under so much pressure that they are swamped work wise.

i have had both my parents die from cancer and I cared for them both,so I know what your felling,

Macmillan's are worth their weight in gold you will fill so much better once they have visited.

    thinking of you
