New in town - biopsy results show metastatic breast cancer

Morning all,

Joining the bus as of yesterday.

Biopsy results of lump in axilla showed metastatic breast cancer. The mammogram I'd had at time of biopsy showed nothing so now booked for MRI next Thursday to find the primary. CT scan appointment to see if it's spread anywhere else should arrive today & then scheduled for surgery on 7th. Obviously this is all provisional due to bloody COVID-19.

I have a wonderful husband, a 13 year old & 2 year old.

Trying to stay positive but did find myself awake & crying at 5 this morning.

Going to tell the in-laws this morning which I am really not looking forward to. Dealing with it is so much easier when you don't have to see people cry.

  • I'm really sorry about your biopsy results Lumpymclumperson.
