Hey my lovelies.
I'm very new to this but I'm hoping you guys may be able to help me. In January I was diagnosised with breast cancer in my left breast. Not something you expect find out at the age of 29! After many tests and scans they informed me unfortunately they have also found 2 lumps in my right breast. So after more scans and biopsies I haven't had the results back yet but they believed the 2 lumps in my right breast are benign but yet to be told what the biopsies have shown. Anyway.....I'm hopeful that after my 6 cycles of chemotherapy and targeted treatments that I'll be cancer free but I'm really concerned about it returning. I'm very young and have a young family so the last thing I want is to put them through this again. It's breaking us all already. I'm yet to discuss surgery options with my consultant as we're waiting on other results but I'm considering asking for a double mastectomy. Does anyone have any advice about how I can bring this up with my consultant and how I can make her see it's the right thing for me? Sorry for extremely long post, I appreciate any advice xx
