Hi , I have not posted before, but felt so sorry for you when I read your post, if this is any help, I had an aggressive type of cancer, which was also triple negative, the good news that the biopsy showed no spread, and was able to have lumpectomy followed up with Chemo, the biopsy will help you know the next steps with your mum, if there is one thing I have learnt, it's all different for each person, and although it seems so unfair, and it is !!! Wait for the results of the biopsy, i think it's difficult not to think the worst, but I hope you can get by and be kind to yourself until  then

Hi my mom was recalled after a mammogram found a lump of 2cm she had tests and it's been confirmed as cancer stage 1

she has today been given a date for her mastectomy which she has chosen over lumpectomy ,it's been a whirlwind of a week since she told us her diagnosis ,feeling very scared to but trying to stay positive  that it's been found early and they can give treatment

Thank you [@beckylou]‍ for replying. I'm glad your mum is staying positive. I think my mums cancer may well be stage 1 but it is the grade that is most concerning. What aftercare will your mum receive for her grade /stage if you don't mind me asking? I'm  just trying to build up a possible picture of my mums treatment? 

They have said possibly radiotherapy after mastectomy and maybe hormone treatment her2 test has come back inconclusive so we're awaiting results after mastectomy for a decision re hormone therapy ,really hoping she won't need chemo x

[@Kitton]‍ thank you for replying. I think you are so strong considering what you've had to go through. I think losing a love one is just stomach wrenching. But as you say I must wait for the results. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey. How long ago did you have cancer?
