I am in the same boat. Just in January I was told my mum's cancer was back and this time it is terminal. I have no advice on how to digest the news as I have not yet done so. Just remind yourself that it is ok to be in shock, upset or angry.
I try to hide any upset from my mum as I know us hurting, is causing her more upset.
