  • Hi m1

Thank you for the feedback i am so pleased that you feel you now have the information you need and that it was well worth seeing some one priviately. I appreciate you trying  to share the details of who you saw, and maybe there is an alternative way of passing the information on.

Can i ask what you discussed re  the HRT and if you still plan to stay on it?

I stopped 5 months ago when i was diagnosed and am really struggling now, have started to think about re- starting, but am waiting to see if they are recommending Tamoxifen or AI.

    Hi M1.

sorry to bother you, but I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer In January. Had a lumpectomy last week after my operation date being cancelled and then re scheduled. Been waiting for results from that and still no further on. I have been told my cancer is aggressive and will need chemotherapy but don't know when that will be. I'm really not happy with the hospital and was wondering how you went being transferred to another hospital for your chemotherapy treatment?

Hi Loumw I really had a tough time with my oncologist and transferred my care by calling my GP asking they transfer me immediately to the hospital of my choice . I changed hospital to one of the research hospitals in the uk to be informed that chemo was not necessary and I would only require hormone therapy after my previous hospital telling me also my cancer was aggressive . I had a complete mastectomy and happy with the hormone treatment I am taking. I do help you find a good hospital , my suggestion is research all hospitals in your area , google the oncologist and look at reviews where you can . Can I ask what area you live in ?..
  • Hi croy

I think you may of misunderstood my blog ... when I am referring to hormone therapy this is not HRT but a cancer drug that prevents your body from making estorogens, however myoncologist has advised other medication to suppress the symptoms of menopause . Talk to your Oncologist or GP they will be able to advise you .

Yes I live just outside Liverpool. But my treatment is in Wigan. I'm now wanting to go to a hospital Liverpool as I believe the care there is much better. I have triple negative breast cancer. Therefore not estrogen related and can't take temoxifen tablets and the means I will have to have chemotherapy.
