Hi Snoopy6691,
Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read this - I hope you're getting on OK.
There are no right or wrong questions to ask, so do use it as an opportunity to talk through anything you'd like to. It may help to write your questions down and then also to make notes on the answers.
If anyone here has any relevant experience to share then hopefully they'll be along soon.
Wishing you all the best,
Ben

Hi Snoopy6691, just back from our oncologist appointment as hubby has stage 4 lung cancer now spread to liver but he's had chemotherapy, radiotherapy and battled this since 2017. The oncologist will be thorough with you and tell you the options. We always find the questions to ask are during this session but until they go through it with you you really won't know what to ask. There will be a cancer nurse with you and if you think later of something you wanted to say you can ask them. Good luck, Carol
Thank you Dor06
You give me hope hearing from you
Am I really wicked to want to ask for a prognosis /survival rate? I'm used to being very organised and need to know what we're dealing with. I'd hate him to go thru all the treatment if it's only to gain a few more months. He's not 'ill' so to speak so the thought of the treatment making him worse than he is now.. Oh I can't explain it, but hope you understand
Our son is coming along and as a dentist he's bound to have medical type questions, my daughter and I just want him to be as well as possible as he's not great at being poorly
We'll know soon enough
How is your husband doing? Is he well in himself and able to get about, holiday etc?
Sorry if I'm being a bit cheeky
Jo
