5 days post op for brain tumour

Hell doesn't even begin to cover it.

Sister was in theatre 14 hours complication a, bleed, blood clot. She was kept sedated a day then they started to awaken her. Initially we thought great. She's very groggy, sleepy but knew here name and had movement. She's been left blind in one eye but this may pass.

She's, been moved of intensive care and wend to HD ward now she's on a nuroligy ward but progress seems to have halted. We're still awaiting the grading and staging. It was a massi w tumour deep in the cerebellum both sides including brain stem. Not all of it could be taken out. My sister doesn't know but the consultant thinks based on texture it's cancer. Everyone's, world's, blown apart. It's, a nightmare, that doesn't end.

  • Hello Paw50

I'm so sorry to hear that the surgery didn't go as smoothly as you had all hoped it might. It's positive that your sister no longer needs ICU support and I hope that she is feeling more comfortable.
It's an incredibly difficult place that you all find yourselves in but please know that we'll do our best to support you through this.

    Sending best wishes,

The Specialists are very clever and the amount of treatments available are massive.
