Glioblastoma / my nan has just been diagnosed over Xmas

Hi everyone I'm Sam I'm just wondering what changes you saw in relatives with glioblastomas I'm struggling to communicate with my Nan as her voice seems to be going I've done a bit of research and this seems normal  she is losing all her energy and her movement seems to be stopping now. We are currently awaiting a space to become available in the hospice.

  • Hi Sam and welcome to Cancer Chat.

I'm really sorry about your Nan. This must be a very difficult time for you all.

We have a snippet of information about this in relation to brain tumours just here but I'm also going to include a link to a part of our website which explains what generally happens in the last weeks and days. I hope this will be helpful but as it can be quite a tough read we usually recommend having someone with you when working your way through it.

Hopefully some of our members will be along soon to offer their support and advice as well.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
