Hi kitty, I had a mastectomy in 2014, got a serious virus during chemo.  My children were grown, but one daughter and another person desperately needed me.  I'm not a worrier, in hospital, close to death, felt great to finally rest.  I just had to emotionally fight, certainly not afraid, but wanting to be on earth to help loved ones.  Today, 5years and many adventures later, beautiful hair, starting reconstruction 1/2020.  My thoughts are with you Kitty

Kitty, if you can affirm, "everyday in every way, I'm getting better and better."  You don't have to feel well to say it and I say it several times a day and will think of you each time.

I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis & wanted to share with you my current journey as we have some similarities. I'm 38 with 2 children (aged 11 and 21 months) and was diagnosed with bowel cancer which has spread to my liver on 1st October this year.  I've been told I'm terminal and my initial prognosis was that I wouldn't see this Christmas,  but my Oncologist was willing to try chemotherapy to see if it would slow down the progression of the cancer and give me more time with my children. I've just finished round 6 of chemo and had a CT scan last week, now awaiting results of that. The worst part was telling my 11 year old daughter, but also having a younger child, it's made us carry on with normal activities as he is unaware of what's going on, so that's helped a lot. I've also had lots of support from family/friends and have chosen to face each day with positivity and enjoy all the small stuff, I'm grateful for every day I have with my children.
