hello my husband got diagnosed with lung cancer yesterday treatable but not curable with the chemotherapy he has been given 12 months!  i am 5 months pregnant and were both inconsolable totally devastated i dont want him to go anywhere and he doesnt want to leave us. we are going ahead with the chemotherapy but also want to try cannabis oil surely its worth a try? i have no idea about it can anyone help x

    I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I can imagine this has come as a shock to you and all the more difficult as you are currently expecting a baby. 

    While there is evidence that medicinal cannabis products can help manage pain and side-effects from cancer treatment there is currently no reliable evidence that it can effectively treat cancer in patients. Further trials are needed to understand whether cannabis-containing products could be used to treat cancer in the future. You can find out more about the research that is currently being carried out in a very interesting article on our science blog. 

    Taking cannabis oil could potentially interfere with any other conventional cancer treatments your husband is having and can carry other side effects and risks as well so do be sure to discuss this with your husband's medical team before looking into this further.

    thankyou they have said it wont help but surely there has to be something he is in absolute pieces as am i hes 36! never smoked and now dealing with this devastating news x
