pancreatic cancer

My father has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  He's a young 70 year old. Doctors have confirmed it's in head of pancreas. They haven't yet spoken about treatment but we know it's not spread. as you can imagine I've done so much research and there seems to be an option for surgery as his doctor said patients with this don't often respond to chemo. Any advise welcome?! He can afford to go private if that's even an option. I just don't want to lose my dad

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad's recent diagnosis. Understandably it's a difficult time for you all and it's natural that you should want to explore all options.

The best person to discuss this with would be Dad's consultant as he will have the full picture of what exactly is going on and be able to take all things into consideration.

I'm not sure when your Dad is due to see the consultant but if you'd like to speak to one of our nurses beforehand for some advice and information you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040. They are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

    Best wishes,
