Sorry to hear your news.  I just been diagnosed 

with breast cancer today. After a whole year 

of suffering. 

I have to go for mri and pet scan to see if it’s 

Spreaded. These both scans will detect if it’s 

gone anywhere else. Then chemotherapy

radiotherapy and a possible operation.  I am just 

recovering from lymph node renewal operation. 

Try not to stress and we will all get through this with 

support. Babita

also a newbie, I'm in the same situation as you. Was diagnosed last week and had my scan yesterday. I have an appointment next Wednesday to discuss results for staging and hormone receptor test. This waiting game is so frustrating but I'm trying to keep busy and trying to keep things normal as my kids (15,12 & 7) don't know it yet. As Babita said, we will all get through this with support. xxx

Thank you for your reply, I hope you get some positive results. We haven't told our children yet either, and it breaks my heart that we will have to sit them down at some point. It seems so unfair on them x

I hope so too and I wish the same to you. To answer your question, this is my timeline:

26/12/19 Seen at Breast Clinic (mammogram,  
               ultrasound scan, biopsy then mammogram)

04/12/19 Diagnosed Breast Cancer with lymph nodes

05/12/19 Bloods taken to check renal function for CT               
                scan

12/12/19 CT scan for staging ang hormone receptors

18/12/19 To discuss final diagnosis and treatment

So on the third week they have checked if it has spread. But they might have a didferent protocol in your area. Hope this helps. x

Thank you for this, it helps me get an idea of what yo maybe expect. I had a 16 day wait for results from biopsy, buy hopefully the other times should be fairly similar x

I have just realised also, we had our biopsies on the same day, let's hope our journeys are as smooth as possible x

Oh no! Typo, seen at clinic on 26/11/19. Yes, I hope our journeys will go as smooth as it can be. Tough times never last... tough people do. xxx

That's a good mantra to have, and yes, I guessed it was November. Keep in touch and hopefully your treatment starts soon x
