With your type of job I would suggest you take 2 weeks off. By then the wound should be healing and there is less risk of the stitches straining from standing, crouching or kneeling. You also need to ensure that you don't get it knocked (especially if you teach young children) and you may not be covered by your school's insurance should you injure your wound at school.
