Hi. I had a suspicious shaped mole finally removed from my back on 3rd October after it being monitored since January, when my gp said "its not suspicious" The results took weeks to come back and I was told 2nd week of November that they were not to be concerned about. Fast forward to last week when I spoke to another gp following a scan on my womb ( that has now been referred to gynae) I asked her for the details of the biopsy. Imagine my surprise to be told, oh it appears there were some concerns and we are waiting for the results of a secondary biopsy, I'll get the Dr who performed the op to chase. 7.30pm last night, I get a call to say that the biopsy DID actually show melanoma and I'm now awaiting the MDT to book me back in within 2wks to take further tissue. To say I'm in a mess is an understatement, the fear of the unknown, the delay in the removal/results etc and now the wait again. I've been told if I don't hear from them by tomorrow that I'm to call them. Can anyone offer any advice please?
